The Special Education Leader Fellowship is a 2-year learning experience designed to improve special education programming in schools. For consideration to join SELF, a candidate must be a special education or RTI leader (coordinator, director, or other teacher leader whose primary responsibility is the success of students with exceptionalities) OR an aspiring special education or RTI leader.
Successful Candidates Have:
2 years of teaching experience, as of the first year in the Fellowship.
Teacher-leadership responsibilities such as leading team meetings, coaching other teachers, planning professional development, analyzing data to improve learning, co-planning, etc.
A Principal Application Endorsement.
A commitment of at least two years to their current school.
